The official OAN live stream is OAN Live, One America News’ own subscription service, which costs $4.99 a month as of October 2026 and runs on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Google TV, phones and the web. You can also watch the channel through YouTube TV’s base plan or Sling TV’s News Extra add-on. This guide sets out every legal option, what changed after DirecTV and Verizon dropped the network in 2022, and what’s available outside the US.
Key facts (as of October 2026)
- One America News Network (OAN) launched on July 4, 2013, and is owned by Herring Networks, based in San Diego.
- OAN Live, launched in July 2026, streams the channel 24/7 for $4.99 a month, with a discounted annual plan.
- YouTube TV added OAN to its base plan in August 2025, and Sling TV carries it in the News Extra add-on.
What is One America News (OAN)?
One America News Network is a US cable news channel with a conservative audience. It’s owned by Herring Networks, a family company founded by Robert Herring Sr., and broadcasts from studios in San Diego with bureaus in Washington, D.C., and New York. Its sister channel is AWE (A Wealth of Entertainment).
Much of OAN’s daytime schedule is straight news updates, while evenings carry opinion programs. Like other partisan networks, it draws strong reactions from both supporters and critics. For a side-by-side view of how the big US cable channels differ, see our CNN vs Fox News vs MS NOW comparison.
How can I watch the OAN live stream in 2026?
There are three main official routes in the US. The direct one is OAN Live. The other two are live TV streaming services that carry OAN alongside other channels.
| Option | Price (as of 2026) | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| OAN Live | $4.99/month; about $3.74/month billed yearly in the first year | 24/7 live simulcast, same-day replays, clips | Viewers who only want OAN |
| YouTube TV | Base plan (about $83/month) | OAN plus 100+ channels | Households replacing cable |
| Sling TV | Sling base plan plus News Extra add-on (about $6/month) | OAN and other extra news channels | Sling customers |
| OAN Plus (Prime Video) | Free with ads | Selected OAN programming, not the full live channel | Prime Video users |
Prices can change, and apps sometimes charge more for in-app purchases. For example, the OAN app on Apple devices lists its own in-app price, so compare it with the website before you subscribe.
OAN Live: the direct subscription
OAN Live launched in mid-July 2026. It streams the channel live around the clock and adds replays from the same day and short clips. OAN doesn’t cap how many devices you can use.
The OAN Live site lists apps for iPhone and Android, Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV, Roku and Chromecast, plus a web player. It also mentions Fire TV. The monthly price is $4.99. Meanwhile, the yearly plan worked out at about $3.74 a month with a 25% first-year discount when we checked in October 2026. We didn’t find a free trial on the official pages.
YouTube TV and Sling TV
YouTube TV signed a multi-year deal with OAN in 2025, and the channel went live in the base plan on about August 29, 2025. Sling TV added OAN and AWE in January 2025, inside the News Extra add-on. If you already pay for either service, OAN is in the live guide at no extra cost on YouTube TV, or for the add-on fee on Sling. Our guide to watching news without cable compares those services in more detail.
Is there a free OAN live stream?
Not of the full channel. We couldn’t confirm an official free 24/7 OAN live stream on YouTube, Rumble, X or OANN.com. Pages that claim to show one are usually unofficial and may be unsafe, so we don’t link to them.
The closest free option is OAN Plus. It launched on Prime Video in the US on January 15, 2026, as a free, ad-supported channel. However, it’s a separate channel of OAN programming rather than a simulcast of the main network. That makes it fine for catching up, but not for live breaking news.
Coming soon: the NewsLive streaming app. We’re building one subscription for live international news on Android, Roku, Fire TV and desktop. The service is under development — follow NewsLive for launch updates.
Why did OAN disappear from DirecTV and Verizon?
Both companies declined to renew their carriage deals in 2022. DirecTV announced in January 2022 that it wouldn’t renew, and it dropped OAN and AWE on April 4, 2022. Verizon Fios followed that summer, announcing the removal on July 21 and taking the channel off at the end of July 2022.
Losing two big distributors in one year cut OAN’s reach. The network then rebuilt distribution through streaming. Sling came first in January 2025, followed by YouTube TV in August 2025, OAN Plus in January 2026 and the OAN Live subscription in July 2026.
So if you watched on DirecTV or Fios before 2022, you’ll need one of the options above today. OAN’s own “Where to Watch” page offers a state-by-state lookup for local cable systems that still carry it.
How do I set up the OAN live stream on my TV?
Setup takes a few minutes on any major streaming device. Here’s the usual process for OAN Live.
- Subscribe on the OAN Live website, or start the purchase in the app.
- On your Roku, Apple TV, Google TV or Fire TV device, open the app store and install the OAN app.
- Sign in with the same account, then choose the live channel.
On YouTube TV, simply search for “OAN” in the Live tab. On Sling, add News Extra in your account settings first, and then the channel appears in the guide. If the channel doesn’t appear, restart the app so it refreshes your package. Also, keep your app updated, because older versions of streaming apps sometimes drop live channels from the guide until you install the latest release.
Can I watch OAN outside the US?
In a few places, yes, through local TV operators. OAN’s “Where to Watch” page lists carriers outside the mainland US, including:
- Base TV at Ramstein Air Base in Germany (channels 118 and 312)
- Lattelcom in Latvia (channel 193)
- iHR in Quebec, Canada (channel 393)
- TSTT in Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean Cable Cooperative and several Puerto Rico operators
- KVH Media, a maritime TV service for ships
We couldn’t confirm from OAN’s official pages whether OAN Live sells subscriptions outside the US, and OAN Plus is US-only. Check the OAN Live sign-up page from your country before paying. We don’t recommend VPNs or other workarounds. For more on US channels in Europe, see our guide to watching US news abroad.
How does OAN compare with Newsmax and Fox News?
All three are aimed at a conservative-leaning audience, but they differ on access. Fox News is the largest and needs Fox One or a pay-TV plan. Newsmax runs a free streaming channel alongside its cable network. OAN’s main route since 2026 is its low-cost OAN Live subscription.
In short, OAN is the cheapest of the three to stream directly, while Newsmax is the easiest to try for free. For every network we cover, see our A to Z channel list or browse the channel guides.
