Why this app exists

Civic apps talk at you. This one lets your district talk back.

Most U.S. civic apps are one-way. You send a message to an office and never hear back, or you read a bill summary and that is the end of it. Social networks are full of politics, but they reward the loudest posts and anyone can pretend to live anywhere.

The MyDistrict app’s main purpose is to give every verified voter one honest place to follow U.S. politics with real data, see what people near them care about, and reach the officials who represent their home address, in both directions.

Two-way, verified, local and strictly nonpartisan. That is the gap MyDistrict fills.

How you use it

Set up in two minutes

Your home address tells the app your district, your officials and the threads you can join. Your phone number keeps every account to one real person.

  1. Create an account

Sign up with email, Apple or Google. Your posts show your first name and last initial.

  2. Add your home address

MyDistrict finds every official who represents you, from school board to Senate. Other users only ever see your county.

  3. Confirm by text

One code to your phone keeps it to one real person per account. No bots.

  4. Follow, rate and talk

Check the four tabs, see how your officials vote, rate them each month, play Predict the Vote and join the conversation.

The app in four tabs

The MyDistrict app in four tabs

Every number comes from a named source with a time stamp. Opinions from app users are always shown apart from real data, so you never mistake one for the other.

01

Live

  • Party seat counts in the House and Senate
  • Governors by party
  • Live results and race calls on election night
  • Campaign money raised by each party and candidate

Data from: the House Clerk and Senate.gov for seats, a licensed election results feed for race calls, and the FEC’s public OpenFEC data for campaign money.

02

Predict

  • Chance of each party winning the House and Senate
  • Odds for key races in your state
  • Forecast models and prediction markets side by side
  • Shown as numbers only, with no betting links

Data from: a licensed forecast model, plus public market data from Kalshi and Polymarket.

03

Pulse

  • What voters on the app care about right now
  • Trending issues and races
  • A daily app poll
  • Interest by state and by self-described party

Data from: the app’s own verified users, always labeled “App users, not a scientific poll.”

04

Talk

  • Threads for each race, issue and district
  • Share your opinion, reply and react
  • District threads open to residents of that district only
  • Top comments ranked by common ground
  • React with Useful, Agree or Disagree, then quote, save or share

Who can post: verified users only, one account per person.

Common-ground ranking

Comments rise when people from different parties upvote them, not when one side shouts the loudest.

Verified and local

Every account is confirmed by phone and home address. District threads accept only people who live there. You can add an optional political leaning to your posts.

Clear rules

No threats, harassment, doxxing or spam. Disagreement is welcome. The rules are published and apply to every view.

Labels, not verdicts

Posts that make factual claims can carry a link to an official source. The app never takes a side.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is MyDistrict free?

Yes, the core features are free for voters. Every official can also claim a profile and answer constituents for free.

Does MyDistrict support a party?

No. Every party and candidate gets the same tools and the same treatment. Moderation rules are published and never depend on the opinion expressed.

Do I need to be a registered voter?

No. Anyone 18 or over can join. We confirm your home address and phone number, not your voter registration, because people who aren’t registered are constituents too.

Who can see my address?

Nobody. Your address is used only to find your district and your officials. Other users only see your first name, last initial and county.

Are the predictions and polls reliable?

Forecasts and market odds come from named outside sources with a time stamp. Pulse polls reflect app users only and are always labeled “not a scientific poll.”

When and where does it launch?

We’re building it now and will start in one state and metro area. Join early access with your ZIP code so we know where demand is strongest.

Is Predict the Vote gambling?

No. You play for points, streaks and a spot on your state leaderboard. There is no money and no betting, and market odds in Predict are shown as numbers only.

Will it be on iPhone and Android?

Yes. MyDistrict is being built for both iOS and Android.
