This Privacy Policy explains what information NewsLive (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects when you visit newslive.news, how we use it, and the choices you have. NewsLive is an independent website that publishes guides to the official ways to watch live news channels.

Information we collect

  • Information you send us. If you use our contact page or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use it only to reply to you.
  • Usage information. Our server and analytics tools record technical details such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of each visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Small files stored by your browser that help the site work, measure traffic and, where ads are shown, deliver and measure advertising.

We do not run user accounts, comments or a newsletter on this website, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure and speed up the website (including caching).
  • To understand which guides are useful, so we can improve and update them.
  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To show and measure advertising, as described below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as pages visited and approximate location. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads on NewsLive. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).

Before personalized ads are shown to visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, we will ask for their consent through a consent banner. You will be able to change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Cookies and how to control them

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work as expected. Blocking advertising cookies means the ads you see will be less relevant, not that you will see fewer ads.

Hosting and log files

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web servers, ours keeps standard log files (IP address, browser type, date and time, pages requested and referring pages) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for a limited time.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to broadcasters, streaming services and official sources. We do not control those websites, and this policy does not cover them. Please read their own privacy policies.

Your rights in the UK and European Union

If you are in the UK or the EU, data protection law (UK GDPR and EU GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal bases are your consent (for advertising cookies), our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and replying to your requests.

Your rights in the United States

Depending on your state (for example California), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of personalized ads, use the links in the advertising section above or contact us.

Children’s privacy

NewsLive is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep messages you send us only as long as needed to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
