To watch Fox News on Fire TV, download the FOX One app and subscribe for $19.99 a month, or sign in to the Fox News app with a cable or live TV provider. Fire TV owners have one extra option: you can add FOX One as a Prime Video channel, watch it inside the Prime Video app and pay through your Amazon account.

How to install FOX One on a Fire TV
FOX One is the simplest choice without cable, because the live Fox News Channel is built in. First, check your software under Settings, then My Fire TV, then About. Fox lists Fire OS 6 as the minimum.
- From the Fire TV home screen, select Find or Search.
- Search for FOX One.
- Select the FOX One app and choose Download.
- Open the app and select Sign In.
- Scan the QR code, or go to FOX.com/activate on a phone or computer and enter the code on your TV.
Then the TV screen refreshes on its own. As of early November 2026, fox.com advertised a 3-day free trial for new direct subscribers.
Watching Fox News on Fire TV through Prime Video
This route suits people who already manage add-ons in their Amazon account. Amazon says FOX One is available as a Prime Video subscription at $19.99 a month, and that no extra app is needed beyond Prime Video. Its lineup includes Fox News Channel, Fox Business and FOX Weather, as well as Fox sports and entertainment.
- To subscribe: open Prime Video, find FOX One, and add the subscription with your Amazon account.
- To watch: stay in the Prime Video app; you don’t need to install FOX One.
- To cancel: manage it in your Amazon account, like any other Prime Video channel.
Fox Nation, Fox’s on-demand service, is also sold on Prime Video. TheWrap reported in February 2026 that it costs $8.99 a month there, or $24.99 a month bundled with FOX One.
Using the Fox News app with a TV provider
If your cable, satellite or live TV plan includes Fox News, you can skip FOX One entirely. Instead, download the free Fox News app from the Amazon Appstore and choose to connect your provider. Then follow the steps on screen.
Fox’s help center says the Fire TV app streams Fox News Channel around the clock with a participating US provider login. Even without one, it offers free highlights and free live coverage of major news events. Our guide to Fox News streaming plans and prices compares the services whose logins work in it.
Coming soon: the NewsLive streaming app. We’re building one subscription for live international news on Android, Roku, Fire TV and desktop. The service is under development. See what the NewsLive app will offer and join the early-access list.
Is Fox News on Fire TV free?
Not the main channel. Fox News Channel is a paid network, so a free trial is the only legal way to try it at no cost. However, two free Fox channels work well on a Fire TV:
- FOX Weather: install its free app. From the home screen, open the Appstore, search for “FOX Weather”, then select Download and Open. FOX Weather also says you can find it in Prime Video under Live TV, then News.
- LiveNOW from FOX: it streams free in the FOX LOCAL app on Fire TV and in Amazon’s own News app, according to LiveNOW. Our LiveNOW from FOX guide lists every free source.
Neither carries shows like The Five or Hannity. Still, both are handy for breaking news. For more free channels, see our guide to live news on Fire TV.
Fox News on Fire TV outside the US
FOX One and its Prime Video add-on are US services. In Europe and many other regions, Fox sells FOX News International instead. Check its device list before you pay. If you also own a Roku, our Fox News on Roku guide covers that device, and the full A–Z of channels is on our channels page.
